Cookie Policy

DropAVibe uses a minimal number of cookies and local storage items — only what is necessary to run the app. Here is exactly what we use and why.

Last updated: March 25, 2026

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser. Local storage is a similar mechanism that stores data in your browser without an expiry date.

Both cookies and local storage allow websites to remember information about your visit — such as whether you are logged in — so you do not have to re-enter it every time.

2. What we use

We use only 2 storage items. No advertising cookies. No third-party tracking. No analytics that identify you individually.

3. What we do NOT use

4. Third-party services

Stripe (Pro subscribers only)

When you visit Stripe's checkout page to subscribe to DropAVibe Pro, Stripe may set their own cookies for fraud prevention and session management. These are governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy. Stripe's cookies are only active on Stripe's own domain — not on dropavibe.com.

Google Fonts (legal pages only)

Our legal pages load fonts from Google Fonts. Google may log the request including your IP address. For the main app, no Google Fonts are loaded. See Google's Privacy Policy.

CartoDB / Leaflet map tiles

The map tiles on DropAVibe are served by CartoDB. Your IP address may be included in tile request logs on CartoDB's servers. No cookies are set by CartoDB.

5. Managing cookies

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to:

Note: deleting the dropavibe_sess cookie will sign you out. Deleting ghost_token from localStorage will disconnect your ghost account — if you have not claimed it, your history and streak will be lost.

Browser cookie guides: Chrome · Firefox · Safari

6. Consent

Because we use only strictly necessary cookies (session management) and no analytics or advertising cookies, we do not display a cookie consent banner. Strictly necessary cookies do not require consent under most privacy laws including GDPR.

If you have concerns, you are always welcome to use the app in a private/incognito browser window, which will clear all cookies and local storage when you close it.
